Cement bags:

$5.5 \times 2 = 11\ bags$

Sand:

Approx 2.28 m³

Example 3 – Small Plaster Work

If required mortar = 0.5 m³ in ratio 1:4:

Total parts:

$1+4=5$

More cement needed than 1:6 ratio because richer mix is stronger.
